Glenfield had 2 teams in the first scrimmage of the new robotics season. This was held at Onehunga High School. This year the game is called “Star Struck” and involves throwing foam stars and big cloth cubes across a 600mm high wall to score points in the 2 minute game period.
Our teams were 2918E built and driven by Hemant Toora and 2918F built and driven by Adam Macintyre. Hemant with his robot went on to form an alliance with Onehunga High School and win the competition. A great effort. Both boys represented us with distinction and learnt heaps from the experience.
It was nice to see Jason Collingwood and Levi Chapman volunteering at the event and giving back to those who follow them.
