This afternoon the Prime Minister lifted the country’s coronavirus alert status to Level 3.
Schools will close from tomorrow except for those students whose parents work in essential services such as NZ Police, nursing, doctors, and the ambulance service (health industry). The children of identified essential workers who are attending school tomorrow should report to the main office at 9.00am. Please email in advance ([email protected]) if you are sending your child to school tomorrow.
The next month will be challenging for us all. To the students, it is vital you take this seriously and stay at home.
As today’s announcement is a historical one in our lifetime, we will give you all time to reflect and prepare for the next four weeks that lie ahead.
Further information will be sent out about the practicalities of learning for your children and information about how you as parents can help.
My most important message, as Principal, is that I ask you all to stay safe and care for one another because this is the time you need to.
