You will no doubt be aware that Auckland will move to Alert Level 4 at 11:59 pm tonight, due to a positive case of Covid-19 being identified in the community. This time, lockdown will go for a period of seven days which means that teaching and learning will be online during this time.
Included in this post is the Remote Learning Plan which has been amended following feedback received from staff and students after previous lockdowns:
As alerted to us a week ago by the Minister of Health, Chris Hipkins, it was always going to be a case of “when” not “if”. Glenfield College has had an excellent year to date and our students are prepared for such an event as this. While the timing is challenging, as we enter Term 3, the measure will be in how we adapt and pivot. I encourage all students to make the best of this situation and believe they have the tools to succeed.
If you have any queries, please contact either the year level dean, form class teacher or the subject teacher directly.
Take care and stay safe.
Paul McKinley
Principal
