Four intrepid dragons made their way to Glenfield College in mid-August to help with a year 13 Business Studies Dragon’s Den event. “Our students plan and undertake a business activity in their final year of school. The activity culminates in the students presenting their product idea and plan to a group of experienced business leaders and academics. The students get insightful and honest feedback which is invaluable in helping them finish off their plans. “It’s also a great opportunity for them to develop their presentations skills” said Chris Hett, HOD Business Studies at Glenfield College.
The group were joined for lunch by Glenfield College’s new Principal CJ Healey, who also sat in on a number of student presentations. “Our students did a great job sharing their innovative ideas and the quality of presentations was very high. We really appreciate Sanford Ltd, Massey University, Deloitte and Hassan & Associates for making themselves available to help our students.” The class will now make final changes to their business plans, incorporating dragon’s feedback, prior to submitting their work for marking.
