This afternoon, 35 students headed out to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver Awards at The Pinnacles in the Coromandel. For one night they will work on achieving Bronze and will spend two nights achieving Silver. Duke of Edinburgh teaches students to take part in community service, to participate in sports, learn a skill and complete an adventurous journey teaching them life lessons. It is internationally recognised by employers and it stands out on an individual’s CV as it demonstrates a well-rounded student. Besides being an educational event, students also interact with a variety of other students from different backgrounds, building trustful bonds with peers. This award will be available to all students in Years 10 to 13 in 2021.
