Glenfield College is launching the opportunity for our students in years 10-13 to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Hillary International Award. This award is internationally recognized by employers, universities, and educational providers as a way to demonstrate commitment and achievement. The award entails the use of activity, skills, and service as well as an adventurous journey (run by the school). The students will be able to combine any current activities that they do with new goals as part of the award. The final part will be a two day and one night trip where the students will be carrying and setting up their own equipment while tramping and camping. This is an excellent opportunity for our students to work together to achieve a well-respected award.
