Next Wednesday, 21st February, we’re having a mufti day to raise money for the Cancer Society. This money goes directly to the North Shore branch, helping people in our community. 1 in 3 New Zealanders are affected by cancer, so it’s highly likely the money we raise will actually help people some of you know.
On Wednesday, we need you to bring a gold coin donation to Period 1. If you want to donate more, that would so be appreciated!
You need to dress in any of the following colours: yellow/gold, purple, pink or blue. These colours are associated with different types of cancer. We encourage ribbons, accessories, wigs and all sorts – be creative and get in the spirit to show your support for these great causes. There will be activities and prizes for best dressed at lunchtime as well.
Also, we will be delivering messages of positivity during Period 2 on Wednesday. On Monday and Tuesday next week you can give us the message you’d like delivered to a student or staff member of your choice. These messages are free and can be anonymous. Come and see us in front of the theatre at morning tea or lunch on Monday and Tuesday to give us the details and we’ll make these look super pretty for you. If you want to add a chocolate to your note, you can do this by paying $2 when you leave your message.
