Glenfield College’s students are the North Harbour Junior Boys Softball Champions for the second consecutive year.

On Monday night the team faced-off against Northcote College in the final and, after losing the toss and being sent to bat, responded by securing a 12 – 1 victory.  This was no more than what their performance deserved, and what started as a tight affair, 2-1 at the top of the second innings, ended up as a one-sided final.  The boys have been fantastic this year, developing their skills, communication and team spirit.  As a result, their confidence is now sky-high.

The player of the day was Callum Wilson, who demonstrated great leadership throughout the season, and Matt Franklin who picked up the award for being the most improved player for his performance at third base.

A big thank you goes to Josie Rihari for her work with the team; her knowledge of the game is outstanding, and the team respect her immensely.
