Competition Structure: School Athletics Day, North Harbour Champs, Greater Auckland Champs, North Island Champs, New Zealand Champs
Season dates: Term 1 and Term 4
Glenfield College is proud to be able to host its own Athletics Day for the whole school to enjoy. It’s compulsory for all students to participate in a minimum of 3 events throughout the day.
Students also get to compete for house points based on our “House” system here at school. The “House” with the most points at the end of the year wins the “House Shield”
Students who meet the appropriate qualifying times or distances can then go on to compete against other schools at regional and national championships.
Venue: Glenfield College, Millennium Stadium, Mt Smart Stadium
Required Equipment: PE Uniform or House colours, appropriate footwear is recommended
Fees: Competition fees applicable for athletes competing in the Championship events.
