Competition Structure: North Harbour Competition, Winter Tournament Week
Season dates: Terms 2 and 3
Hockey is played by both boys and girls at Glenfield College. Hockey is another popular sport here. In previous years we had a total of four teams (2 Boys, 2 girls).
Our top teams (1st XI) traditionally play in the top 2 grades of the North Harbour competition, while our 2nd XI teams play in the development grades. Both our 1st XI boys and girls can attend a week-long tournament each year at various locations around the country. All year levels are able to play in any grade so all abilities are catered for. Glenfield College is also fortunate to be one of a few schools to have an all-weather training area to allow our players to train on the same surfaces that they would play on.
Venue: North Harbour Hockey Stadium, Rangitoto College, Westlake Girls and Kristin School.
Required Equipment: All students must supply Hockey Sticks, Shin Pads, and Mouthguards. Appropriate footwear is required. Students must also wear the Glenfield College Hockey uniform.
