Competition Structure: North Harbour Competition, Auckland Champs.
Season dates: Term 1 and 4 – Number dependent.
Tennis is one of many summer sports enjoyed by our students. It is a fun game that can be played both socially and competitively. Teams of 4 players compete in the North Harbour competition that competes on Monday evenings.
Each team plays in a grade that suits their ability and this can range from complete beginner to advanced or competitive grades.
Teams are also put into respective age categories. These are Junior, Intermediate and Senior.
There is also a competition for advanced or competitive players in the form of the Auckland Secondary Schools Tennis Champs (ASSTC). These singles and doubles competitions are run in a knockout format with winners advancing to the next round.
Venue: Games are played at Tennis Courts and various schools across North Harbour.
Equipment Requirements: Glenfield College PE Uniform and own racket.
