Filip Ograbek, Year 13, Head Boy, on what Self Managing means to him:
Self management is discipline, accountability, and responsibility; self management is setting a standard for yourself and consistently striving to meet that standard. Self management is recognising the various demands in your life, and formulating a plan in order to balance these demands.
To be a better self manager you may write down your commitments, and prioritise them. It may also help you to have a goal in place that will give you a purpose in meeting the often stressful demands of your life.
As a student, self management is aiming for excellence: playing sport, doing homework, having a social life, and making sure you’ve managed your time well in order to meet these demands
Self management is the Glenfield Way, and I challenge you all to implement this key value if you haven’t already into your everyday life.
